Cynthia's Thoughts....
What a month! I hope everyone is staying safe and dry and have not been affected too much by the flood. My family and I are fortunate to live far from the flood zones but have been devoting time helping family, friends, neighbours and customers with the cleanup, restoration and resources. We have gone through our home and gathered up bags and bags of clothes as well, trying to help as much as possible.
One of my favourite quotes from Sir Winston Churchill is “You never know your General’s until you take them to war”. That statement is so true!! We can all be fabulous when times are good and there is little to no stress, but when the going gets tough, how people react is so telling. I know I brag about how great I think my brokerage is frequently, but it is times like these that make me proud to work with them! CIR is matching dollar for dollar donations given by the over 650 agents that work for CIR. At the end of this week, CIR will be cutting a cheque to the Red Cross to help flood victims. Next month I will be proud to share with you what that final number was and of course I donated on behalf of myself and my family. It is so great to see our city come together in this time of hardship and it makes me so proud to call myself a Calgarian!
By now you guys must be wondering who that precious little cutie in the picture is! I would like to introduce you all to the new 'man' in my life - my new baby boy Landon James Truscott Culhane, born June 11, 2013 weighing 6 lbs 7 ounces! He has been awesome so far and just a bundle of joy to have! The wonderful thing about being in real estate is the flexibility.I have the ability to keep serving my clients while this little guy grows, so don’t hesitate to contact me for your real estate needs.
I also wanted to congratulate CIR Realty's GRAND Prize Contest Winner - Tracy Bjorge of Okotoks, AB - for winning a Family trip to Disneyland! Stay tuned for upcoming contests for your chance to win even more prizes! Thank you to everyone who entered!
Take care and I'll talk to you next month if not sooner!
Cynthia
